Carumba
Neutral Cushioned Trainer, 10.5 oz. *estimate
Our latest model is an engineered marvel. Built for the runner seeking the
ultimate neutral running shoe without sacrificing comfort, cushioning and
weight while offering numerous features runners require in a high performance
trainer.
- Anatomical last: At LOCO our last is anatomically contoured to fit your
foot precisely. With a more rounded heel and sculpted arch the shoe will
support the foot and enhance comfort.
- Fully slip lasted meaning excellent cushioning and flexibility for
comfortable push off and foot strike.
- Upper design: The upper pattern is designed to accommodate hard to fit
feet. You know who you are, you look perfectly normal, until you take offa
your shoes. Bunions, knobby toes - our soft mesh will make your piggly
wigglies feel great..
- Sockliner: For superior comfort, cushioning and durability our sockliner
is molded EVA with a cushie neoprene foam. Ah, the same stuff you pay
extra for in over-the-counter replacement sockliners. This sockliner will
absorb impact better than standard EVA while eliminating compression set.
Unlike our competitor's sockliner, ours will deliver the same cushioning
and comfort throughout the life of the shoe.
- Upper materials: Air Mesh, Super Micro Fibre Synthetic, 3M Reflective.
- Want great breathability? The upper is constructed with state of the
art "air mesh". Air mesh is woven as a tri-layer material
that eliminates the need for cementing the layers together thus
significantly improving breathability and comfort while reducing
weight.
- The synthetic leather, to match the mesh performance is a very thin,
lightweight, soft and breathable synthetic that is extremely durable
as it is produced with a "super micro fibre" substrate
backer.
- 3M Scotchlite for safety. This model incorporates genuine 3M
Scotchlite around the heel, along the tip and at the top of the tongue
to offer 360 degree reflectivity for night time visibility. More 3M
than you'll find on just about any running shoe.
- Laces: Yes flat laces. Back to functionality. Flat laces are easier to
tie and stay tied. Round and oval laces that look cool become loose.
- Midsole: The midsole is comprised of a high quality compression molded
EVA compound that maintains its cushioning and compression resistance
longer than typical EVA. Soft yet durable to maintain its cushioning
properties for miles and miles.
- Medial post: None... we said neutral and we mean it.
- Polyurethane heel and forefoot metatarsal pads: Strategically positioned
to cushion and increase durability where the highest impact forces are.
Polyurethane is a compound that absorbs shock better than typical midsole
foams and is virtually compression resistant. The highest impact forces
are at heel strike and forefoot under the metatarsal heads which is where
we've positioned the pads for cushioning and durability.
- Midfoot arch shank: The midfoot arch is supported with a co-molded shank
to increase stability while improving tortional rigidity, preventing the
shoe from improperly flexing in the midfoot arch. For added support the
shank wraps the sidewall of the midsole.
- Forefoot Outsole The forefoot outsole is made with a durable blown
rubber compound for extra cushioning and great traction.
- Outsole: The heel outsole is a compression molded carbon rubber with an
NBS 3000 compound that is extremely durable. The heel is recessed to
maintain the foot over the central axis of the midsole for stability. The
forefoot is designed with lugs for traction on multi terrains. Finally,
the heel pad is asymmetrical to the lateral side for a smooth heel strike
enhancing heel to forefoot roll.
